Another year of Boardman Youth Basketball is coming soon! Our league has had great participation over the past many years, however we are always looking to improve the overall basketball product in our community. With that goal in mind, some changes have been made to the BYB format for this year.
Who is eligible to play - Boys grades kindergarten through 6th grade in Boardman Local Schools or same age residents within the Boardman Local School District.
Registration –Registrations must be completed through our website boardmanyouthbasketball.com. Payment by credit card, check or cash. Registration runs September 8 -October 29.
Fee to play: Includes reversible jersey & instruction. $10 discount for additional family members.
- Grades K-3 = $60 early registration, $70 for registration after 10/22/23.
- Grades 4-6 = $50 early registration, $60 for registration after 10/22/23.
League format – Our goal is to focus on more skill development within our youth program. In order to accomplish this goal we will be revising the BYB schedule and format.

- Equal teams will be selected based on player evaluations.

- Travel teams will be selected following the last skill session.
- Travel team practices will begin in December.

Travel teams - Postseason travel teams will be formed for grades 4-6, made up of Boardman Local Schools students/residents within the Boardman School District who have participated in the current BYB season. There will be no playing up to older grades.
